What is CENFUSE Silicone Tape?
CENFUSE Silicone Tape is an open-chain polymer tape that fuses to itself on contact as the silicone layers bond together instantly without the use of adhesives. It is used to insulate, seal and protect anything you can wrap, as they are highly conformable.
What is the Self-bonding behavior of Silicone Tape?
High molecular chain mobility and surface tack are properties of uncured crosslinked silicone elastomer. So, when the tape is stretched, they inter-diffuse and entangle creating an airtight & watertight protection layer.
How long does CENFUSE Silicone Tape take to cure?
The bonding starts immediately, once it comes into contact with itself, but its recommended 24 hrs. for the tape to from a complete seal.
Do you provide liner attached to the tape?
Yes, The Plastic liner prevent silicone from sticking to itself. The tape can be easily released from the liner for applying on surfaces leaving no residue.
How to apply CENFUSE SiliconeTape?
Ensure that the surface is clean, release the tape from the liner, stretch the tape to about 50 %, since stretching activates the bonding. Then start the wrapping with 50% overlap, so half of each new layer covers the previous one. Try to maintain even tension while wrapping. Avoid any gaps and build layers based on application.
How to remove CENFUSE Silicone Tape?
It can be easily removed using a knife /scissor around the wrap ,leaving no any residue behind.
